The Problem
Leaders were avoiding addressing concerns and not taking action to build stronger team connection, which could result in employees seeking out external representation, when the organization feels they can best support employees with internal representation.
Solution
Design a digital e-learning course using interactive story telling scenarios where leaders practice making decisions and choosing actions to build strong team connection, and support their employees through internal representation. My goal was to create characters that appear in other story based scenarios, that learners can relate to and recognize. Using a light hearted theme, Josie and the Case of…helps to accomplish this goal.
Process
Worked with the subject matter expert to identify the actions leaders need to be able to perform (action mapping) along with any sub actions, and identify consequences—what happens when they don’t do these actions. Then crafted scenario storyboards, along with visual mockups, prototyping, and then final product, getting SME approval at each stage.
