The Problem
Leaders (and others) were avoiding conflict related situations, causing miscommunication, assumptions, and perpetuating communication issues.
Solution
Offer a two pronged approach. A short digital e-learning course around managing conflict, followed by this course to provide a safe space to practice the skills they learned in the pre-requisite course.
Process
Worked with the stakeholders to identify the areas leaders were stumbling, and the actions they needed to be able to do to effectively manage conflict. Created a cast of characters (reusable for later courses) and storyboard with branching scenarios, potential responses, and consequences.
